Vivienne was first seen attempting to seek refuge from her abusive husband, with the help of her daughter Caroline. After her husband threatened her with a shotgun, Caroline stabbed him in self defence. The two planned to lie to police about what happened, unfortunately this didn't work and a distraught Vivienne was sent to Wentworth with her daughter.

Vivienne wasn't the sort of person you'd normally find in prison, a clearly distressed mature lady, and she had trouble coping with the situation, becoming almost trancelike, refusing to eat (or act). Caroline worried about her mother.

Eventually Jim Fletcher payed Vivienne's bail, and later Carolines. Vivienne couldn't cope on her release and tried to commit suicide. When we last saw her, she was living in a care facility, though it's unknown whether she remained here or if it was a temporary move until after her trial.
