Tony Berman (306-329), a young social worker who becomes Judy Bryant's assistant at Driscoll House. When Maxine Daniels is asked to move out he offers her to come and share his apartment. Maxine reads more into it and tries to seduce him. Then his girlfriend Melissa ,who has been living in Adelaide, turns up. She's got a new job offer in Sydney and wants Tony to come with her. There is friction between them due to Tony's work and Melissa leaves him. Tony gets drunk and sleeps with Maxine who falls in love with him. In the end Tony decides Melissa means more to him than his job and he leaves Driscoll House.
