Sally Dempster is the lady who employs Maxine Daniels to look after her daughter Michelle. Secret drinker, shoplifter and child abuser.
Sally is sent to Wentworth Detention Centre on remand after running over husband Peter Dempster, and attempts suicide by hanging, but is saved by Colleen Powell and Phyllis Hunt.
Her husband accepts his part in her guilt and gives evidence which leads to her being freed by the court.
