Grace is again seen investigating Anne Yates' death and blames Monica Ferguson at first, but realizes that the first report on Yates' death was right and drops the investigation calling Yates' death accidental,  He then investigates George Lucas' associates after his run from the law.

Grace is seen in ep 46 arresting Denise Crabtree for handling stolen money.

He returns in ep 142 to talk to Tracey Morris as part of the drug squad and even mentioned to Vera Bennett that George Lucas had been arrested after being on the run.

In ep 215 he interrogates Kathy Hall regarding possible involvement with small-time crooks, Grace is later called in regarding Kathy Hall's murder and Terry Harrison's as well.

He interrogates Sandy Edwards about Meghan Arnett's disappearance in Ep 243.

Grace later meets Kate Peterson who offers her "services" to him in exchange for a false witness. She tells him where Sandy Edwards dumped Meghan's body. They meet regularly after that.

Grace also informs Erica Davidson about the drug-trafficking at Wentworth being organized by the 'McNally Gang' and Marie Winter, which now has ended. He also informs her about his activities with Kate Peterson and that she is going to be charged with Perverting the Course of Justice.

Grace questions Judy Bryant at the police station regarding Donna Mason and later Susie Driscoll.

Grace is apart of the Police team that are camped outside the prison during the Wentworth Siege and learns from Chook that there are three gunmen in the prison and that one of them has died, and argues with the feds about sending teams into the prison, but later is seen driving with his partner to the airport to stop Ballinger from escaping on a plan and tells Joan to put her weapon down as shooting Ruth wasn't worth it.

Grace's last investigation seen on screen is Andrew Hinton's murder and questions Jenny Hinton when he tells her that he was the victim of a hit and run. Grace asks Joan Ferguson about what is really happening and they both agree in hoping to put Harry Parker behind bars to put Ferguson in undercover. When Grace and Crabbe are listening to the conversation through a bug in Ferguson's necklace they get all the information they need to put Parker away for a long time. When Ferguson is almost killed by Parker, Grace steps in and saves Ferguson. Back at the station Ferguson worries that after the whole thing her career in corrections is over, but Grace tells Parker and a surprised Ferguson, that Joan had been undercover with the team for a long time (Grace clearly lying), and Grace lays no charges against Ferguson and keeps the report to himself and he hands the gun that Joan stole back to her telling her to return to the armory..
