Harry Smith is a recurring character in Wentworth played by Jake Ryan. At the beginning of the series he is the husband of Bea Smith.

Harry can be charming and popular, and in the early years of their relationship, it’s easy to understand why Bea fell for him. But he is a different person when under pressure and losing control, a side of his personality which Bea experienced at the end of his fist many times.

Bea tries to kill Harry, for which she is arrested and taken to Wentworth. Harry is left to take care of Debbie on his own.

In season two, Harry is an angry, broken man avoiding responsibility for Debbie’s death and wanting to somehow move on with his life. He visits Bea in prison to hand her divorce papers. She agrees, but only if he kills Debbie's murderer, Brayden. He tries but fails to do it.

During his prison visits, he notices chemistry between Bea and prison officer Will Jackson, and accuses Will of having a relationship with Bea. This leads to a few confrontations between the two men.

In early season three, he is killed. The police's main suspect is Will Jackson, due to their history of confrontations. Bea initially suspects the "Red Right Hand", a vigilante group against domestic violence who thought of Bea Smith as their hero. Bea then comes to understand that Governor Joan Ferguson was actually behind it.
